Infection Control
ABS’s goal of the Infection Control program is to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, employees, physicians, and other licensed independent practitioners, contract service workers, volunteers, students, and visitors. At the start of any project, ABS’s Policy to promote Infection Control Measures on construction projects includes:
• Implementing dust control and erosion control measures
• Monitoring waste management
• Implementation of protection measures in place for the patient population and VA staff
• Scheduling of utility tie-ins and shutdowns for water service and electrical service

Energy Technology
ABS provides the best class of energy technologies planning, design and construction for energy efficiency projects. We specialize in evaluating the Built Environment in any type of use buildings and central utility plants. We conduct multi-discipline analyses of existing building systems infra-structure as to current state of operational condition and operational efficiency. With over 75 years of combined management member experience, we specialize in project Development that includes a LEAN integrated delivery method, and when required, financing mechanisms to upgrade aging equipment, building envelope, and technologies and/or initiate energy conservation measures with no capital appropriation required and no net increase in operating cost.
Facilities Integration, Operations & Management
The Facilities Integration, Operations and Management (FIOM) Division of ABS can provide full “Cradle-to-Grave” services for critical facilities such as Data Centers, Communication Centers, Military Command & Control Centers, Hospitals and any other types of facilities that are required to run on an uninterrupted 24X7 operations schedule. We can take the project from a greenfield building site, through design-build construction and commissioning; and then upon turn-over to the owner, provide long-term maintenance for the life of the facility.
